What's inside StudyTimerPRO
Study timer
The core of StudyTimerPRO. Pick a preset or set a custom duration, press Start, and the page becomes a calm, distraction-free focus surface. Your tab title updates so you can see remaining time at a glance.
Pomodoro timer
Classic 25-minute focus blocks followed by short breaks, with a longer break after four rounds. Use it to break heavy reading lists, problem sets, or writing into approachable chunks.
Focus sessions
Choose Deep Work (60–90 min), Pomodoro (25 min), ADHD-friendly short bursts, or a custom length. Each preset is designed around a different cognitive rhythm.
Break sessions
Short breaks (5 min) and long breaks (15–25 min) are scheduled automatically between focus blocks. A gentle breathing animation helps you actually rest instead of doom-scrolling.
Ambient sounds
Rain, café, forest, and white noise are built in. Mix sounds, adjust volume, or work in silence. Audio plays locally — nothing is streamed and nothing is tracked.
Productivity tracking
Completed sessions are saved locally in your browser. A simple insights view shows focus minutes per day so you can see real momentum, not vanity metrics.
Session history
Every completed focus block is recorded with date, duration, and preset. Export your history at any time from the dashboard for personal records or research.
Study planning
Set a daily focus goal and watch the progress ring fill as you work. Combine with the Exam Study Plan guide to turn a syllabus into a calm, repeatable weekly rhythm.
Streaks
A streak counts the number of consecutive days you complete at least one focus session. Streaks are gentle motivation — they pause without shaming you when life happens.
Achievements
Unlock quiet milestones as you build the habit — first session, first hour, first week, first deep-work block. No leaderboards, no comparisons, no pressure.
Resource Center
The Resources page collects the books, methods, and tools we genuinely recommend for focus, ADHD productivity, and exam preparation.
Account & settings
StudyTimerPRO works with no account. Preferences (theme, sounds, presets, goals) are stored locally in your browser, so they persist across sessions on the same device.
Best practices for effective studying
- Decide the single most important task before you start the timer — name it out loud or write it down.
- Close every non-essential tab and silence your phone for the duration of the block.
- When the timer ends, actually take the break — stand, stretch, look at something far away.
- Aim for three to five focused blocks per day before chasing more. Quality beats quantity.
- Review yesterday's work for five minutes at the start of today's first session.
- If you miss a day, do not punish yourself. Start tomorrow's session as if nothing happened.
